Who is the communist?

Nop, communist is not just means this. yeap, thanks lobak and MMU junior for the mod.

Wikipedia Says:

Communism
is an ideology that seeks to establish a future classless, stateless social organization, based upon common ownership of the means of production. It can be classified as a branch of the broader socialist movement. Early forms of human social organization have been described as 'primitive communism' by Marxists.

So, who is the communists?

Open Source Mover
The way open source software (OSS) project runs is identical to a communist society. There is no individual own the idea but everyone (GNU)... Everyone contribute their best to the project... Everyone share the outcome... No Monopoly...

Robot in Matrix
Yeah, they are definitely communist, i am damm sure they are! Everyone do what they are best in, everyone think the same with the same core and get the same software update...

Christian
Christian can be communist too according to Christian Communist.

Tetris Creator
A hard to find documentary about Tetris and its creator Alexey Pajitnov. Also covers the rivalaries between Nintendo and Atari and the ... all » absurdities of buying copyrights for software from a country that doesn't believe in property, much less intellectual property. Ultimately, a great documentary about a very important game.

Watch the video documentary here...

p/s 1: This article is dedicated to the show "The last communist"

p/s 2: I am going to china for biz in next few days and i heard that my beloved country's government is going to check my background to approve my visa. I am thinking if they found "The Last Communist" is too much then they will think the same to my fake photo up here.

p/s 3: I dont care, i doubt they will google my name and came to my blog and found this article. They are just bunch of ignorance guys brain washed by the colony. I will prove this correct if I successfully get my visa. Else, i will miss my flight for the 2nd time.

1 hour interview with Brett Bibby

A good reading. Found from my junior "weyann" blog.

http://eanweyann.blogspot.com/2006/10/1-hour-interview-with-brett-bibby.html

Few points that i like:
  1. Especially when you look around Malaysia, I see loads and loads and loads of businesses, especially Chinese businesses that I doubt that seriously the Government give them any money but they seem to be doing quite well. So, if they can do it. Why cant you? I don’t understand. Why people want to have doubts.
  2. I’ve been told by some groups that, “We want money, we want money” and I’ve actually offered them money and then, they go away. It’s more like a convenient excuse. So I think, funding is an excuse. I think, If you wanna do it, you can do it.
  3. Programmers don't know what’s subordinates. They don’t know anything about data structures, algorithms. It is ridiculous. *cough* And MMU is one of the worst so… it's really appalling.
  4. And the people we hired here from MMU are the people that brought nothing from MMU with them. It's what they learnt beyond their education, that they are hired. They were already fairly brilliant in what they did and they sought other sources of education and things. So when they came in, they actually known these things. But the things they learn were not from MMU. There were on their own.
  5. Like CodeMasters coming in, this company coming in, that company coming in. It sounds good, but the reality is they wont bring any knowledge and skill with them. They will just create a spot and go make me trees, go make me cars.

But I disagree on:
  • I mean, I think the Government is actually quite great. I mean, I grow up in Silicon Valley. The thought that the Government would even care or try to help you, or even meet with you and ask you like, “What are the issues you are facing” and “What we can do to help”, you know.. it’s just, unheard of in the west. --- It is contradicting with the first point that i like.

ipod + linux = Gp2X ???

http://gp2x.co.uk/devx2.html

To sum up the GP2X:

It can play games. It can play your Movies. It can play your music. It can view photos. It can read Ebooks. It runs on just 2 AA batteries - And it can do all this in the palm of your hand or on your TV screen.

Yes that's right, this handheld can connect to the TV, console style. Watch your DivX movies on the TV. Play emulated classics on the TV. Try big screen Quake. Or just play them all on the GP2X's large 320*240 backlit screen. You get the best of both worlds.

It runs the free Linux operating system. This means a whole world of Games, Utilities and Emulators are at your disposal. Quake, Doom, SNES, Megadrive, MAME, Media players and Applications to name just a few.

It's powerful - Two 200mhz CPU's with 64meg of RAM, custom graphics hardware and decoding chips. Takes SD cards and has 64M of NAND memory. Plenty to play with. One of the most powerful and advanced handhelds today.

That means it can play movies without any re-encoding. Just put them onto an SD card. Any size. Any resolution. No messing about. The GP2X scaling chip will resize to fit the screen. No other handheld can do that.

It's cheap. Just £124.99.

It's open. You want to develop your own games for the GP2X? Go right ahead. The SDK is included with the system free. Not since the days of the Amiga has a system been so easy to develop for, commercially and for fun.

The GP2X isn't just another wannabe be Gameboy. Its a whole different design. A whole new idea for a handheld games system.

But wait, we're not new to the scene. Heard of the GP32? An accidental experiment in an open source handheld that went right. Some 30,000 units were sold worldwide, mostly in the UK and parts of Europe. The machine has an astonishing following. The GP2X is the successor.
