Welcome to Zend Framework

PHP is well known for its simplicity but developers are always feel that it still lack of something.

Yeap, it is the ability to be commercial-friendly. Zend feel it too.

With it, they annouced Zend Framework; with the goal to create a IP clear PHP Framework, and emphasize on its legality and simplicity.

Most of the people including me is asking, where PEAR will go after the complete of Zend Framework?

I don't know... it is all depands on how PHP community choices.

Zend Framework would definately brings another dimension to PHP world. PHP developers is now overwhelming with PHP framework but we will find the choice is hard to made. Most of us ended up working on own framework...

Zend Framework will be following MVC model. It will built in with lots of web2.0 features, such as AJAX and Syndication.

Zend Framework will be distribute in PHP form. Although some suggestion out there to code it in C but Zend insists on PHP as they believe it is a better choice to prove PHP is a good language. Besides, in PHP form would also means better cross platform.

yeah... Zend Framework will be fully rely on PHP5 and above.

I cant wait for the release of Zend Framework. Probably it would be the time for me to start working on my personal website.

Female are weak in programming?

It is common to think that female are weak in programming and logic.

In my university life, female students around me are often asking help from guys to program their assignments. In exchange, they will help the guy to do documentation or math related subjects' assignment.

However, this is not an article of gender discrimination. In fact, I try to give few examples here to prove that not all female are weak in programming.

When I was in my first year studying computer programming 1 with C language, I was given assignment to create a student management system that will have to generate a report. The requirement is not high as we are expected to come out a console base application. Thus, most of us print the report out on screen in the console, using all sort of ASCII art.

Then, during presentation day, this girl amazed me. What she did was programme to print the report in html code and save to a plain text file. Thinking back now it is something that technically very simple. However, none of us thought about it at that time.

The other example is what people in the world often use to debate that women are not weak in programming. Yes, she is Ada Lovelace, the first computer programmer in the world. The programming language ADA was named after her.

Another example is Tiffany Lim, Sherman Chin's gf. She is well known in Malaysia Game Dev for developing
Alpha Kimori, a Anime Styled Multiplayer RPG by Sherman3D.

So, with all the example, what is your thought now?

Personally, I thinks that it would be boring if the programming world is solely nominated by male.

MMU SEGD major is a very good example. Believe me, it is not fun to study in environment that lack of female student...

Anime = Animasi Sek?

Underlined text in english: Sexual Animation who is more well known as Anime...

Found this from Jeff Ooi blog acidentally today. Not to repeat the article, if you are interested on the full story, please read the link here.

Well, I am surprise with the generation gap here. Most of the university hostel that I know is already full with all sort of X-rated contents. It doesn't means that people who watched it will go out rape peoples, but in fact, some of them scoring CGPA 4.0 and is now wearning smart western suit and sitting in office of Multinational Company.

There is nothing much to surprise about how wide spread of X-rated contents is in the 'real world'. I am more surprise that there are still people that can't differenciate porn and not porn, just like they fail to differenciate Anime with Hentai.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a die hard anime fans. In fact, I don't like those so call modern anime that you have to differenciate the characters inside base on their multicolored hair. I still prefer the old Doraemon.

p/s: Infact, Hentai translation in chinese is not means sex, but pervert. My friends in primary school used to say "e... why you are so pervert" when someone doing something disgusting, in cases such as: someone fart loudly.

I have a dream

Everyone has a dream. What is mine?

People that know me well know where I was born, it is the historical town of Malacca; and the place I stay in hometown, that is the Ujong Pasir sea side. Maybe these are the reasons why I am facinated with natural scenary as well as old and ancient things.

I like the sea, especially Redang and Perhentian island.
I like old building, especially those located at the Jonker Walk area.

I like the Nescafe TV commercial where a girl is drinking coffee at the window side in one raining afternoon, looking down the window and observe the reaction of people down the street.

Yeap, You could actually experience all these at Bunga Raya Melaka.

People at Bunga Raya Street are normally shopkeeper. They wake up early in the morning at 6AM and started to open their shop. Then around 8pm, this place will be full with lori and you can see the whole day is begin with a healthy lifestyle. Here, you could easily find foods, especially my favorite Cha Siew Fun.

Thus, I love these places a lot. If i want to work, I will choose to work in these places.

My dream is actually to start a software and game studio at places like these.

Imagine if my studio is located in Langkawi island. Just a few minute i will reach the seaside. Then I will walk along the beach everyday after my tiring working hour.

Imagine if my studio is located in Bunga Raya Street. I can work till late in the night and yet not worry I cant get food. Just walk down to the street and I can easily choose to have Wan Tan Mee, Cha Siew Fun, Hainan Chicken Rice... Woo! how nice is the life without Maggie Mee! When I am tired, I can sit beside the window and observe the people, I can paint as well.

Programmer life is pretty boring and will drag you far away from the normal society and lifestyle. It will be nice to find the balance in it. The good things about working IT is, you just need a broadband and computer. Thus, you are flexible in choosing location than any other business.

My dream can work.

Of course, for all these to realise, I need to get my studio stable first.

Or if someday i fail to setup a studio, I will still choose to work in places like these.
